ROCK OUT IN OUR PRAISE TEAM LAB BAND!
The Praise Team is comprised of members of our Lab Band class. Whether you play drums, piano, guitar, or you are a
singer, you can take part in this awesome opportunity. The
class teaches how to work together as a band in putting
music pieces together to perform. The Lab Band class also
takes a leadership role as they lead weekly chapel for the
Salem student body. At the heart of this class is teaching
and inspiring students to become worship leaders. In this performance-based music education class students learn
how to work as a team to perform iconic Christian rock
songs while also learning the fundamentals of their instruments. Songs and parts are assigned based on experience and ability to learn new skills and concepts. In addition to the weekly group rehearsal, students are also required to have a weekly private lesson. This is an awesome opportunity for students to learn team work, leadership, and responsibility, as well as honing their skills on their instruments.
Expectations and Requirements:

Who: Open exclusively to Salem Lutheran students in 6-8th grade, entrance is by audition only. Auditions are scheduled at school registration. Audition information and materials are provided after you sign up for lessons.

$75 Class Fee: There will be a class fee of $75.00 per month to participate in this lab if you are selected by audition. This helps us cover instructor fees, and other costs associated with the technology and support needed to make worship events happen at a high level of excellence.

$99 Earpiece Fee: You will be required to have a personal set of in-ear monitors to use throughout the year. If you do not have a set, AMP Tomball will provide several options for you to choose from, order those for you and bill you accordingly.

$135 Lesson Fee: If selected for this lab, you will be required to take weekly voice lessons through the academy during the school year. These voice lessons will cost $135 per month and be billed monthly. (Please see billing page for more information).
Lab Band is also the training ground for joining the worship team at Salem Lutheran Church. The church's worship team works closely with AMP Tomball to identify those students
who are strong candidates to join their team.
Their team comprises several groups that lead
worship in the main worship center, as well as
student and children's ministry.
